Lianyungang is located in the middle part of China's eastcoastline, northeast of Jiangsu Province. Lianyungang faces Japan and South Korea across the sea. It borders on Rizhao, Shandong in the north, Lianyungang is situated at the transitional part between sea and land, south and north.
